Hadassah Healthcare Park: €150 Million Medical Mega-Project Coming to Lakatamia

A groundbreaking private investment is set to reshape the healthcare and education landscape in Cyprus. Hadassah Healthcare Park, a state-of-the-art medical and academic complex, is planned for development in Lakatamia by Osopil Ltd. The total investment is expected to exceed €150 million, representing one of the largest healthcare infrastructure projects in the country.

The project is currently under public consultation through an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which remains open until April 12, 2025, according to Cyprus’ Department of Environment.

A Mixed-Use Medical Development

Hadassah Healthcare Park will be located in the Agia Paraskevi parish, within the municipal boundaries of Lakatamia. This mixed-use complex will integrate:

    • H.C. Hospital Ltd: A five-story private hospital with 156 patient beds, 2,265 m² of outpatient clinics, advanced diagnostic and surgical units, oncology treatment, radiology, nuclear medicine, emergency services, and cutting-edge medical technologies.
    • H.C. Rehabilitation Ltd: A modern rehabilitation center offering tailored treatment protocols for post-operative patients, accident recovery, chronic conditions, and substance rehabilitation.
    • H.C. Assisted Living Ltd: A facility offering semi-independent, assisted living options in a safe and supportive environment.
    • University of Medicine: A five-story academic institution with a capacity of up to 900 students, featuring lecture halls, labs, offices, and commercial areas on the ground floor.
    • Biotech Office Complex: A five-story building dedicated to biotechnology companies, startups, and research initiatives in the life sciences sector.
    • Student Residences: A six-story residential building with 232 rooms, including common areas, laundry facilities, a cafeteria, and retail spaces on the ground floor.

Strategic Location with Regional Impact

The development is ideally located within Lakatamia’s urban zone:

    • 440 meters from the THOI Lakatamia Football Stadium
    • 520 meters from the Pedieos River Linear Park
    • 650 meters from the Maglis Lake

Hadassah Healthcare Park is positioned to become a national hub for healthcare excellence, medical education, and biotechnology innovation. It will also stimulate the local economy, create new job opportunities, and attract international collaborations in both the healthcare and academic sectors.
